Dismissed Authority

they see me as just lame
one they think
they have tamed
so they run game
pulling me in
spitting me out
they don't know
behind who's name
I am famed

they just look at me
something to blame
a dart aimed
away from their pain
straight pass my heart
into my brain

it's an honest trick
they claim
after all: she hears voices
why not put on the strain
since she's already drained
…or so they claim

it's a played out maim
thousands of years
ingrained

but the ending
always the same
the voice's truth
in reality…came

the deceivers
all those lost
in lame
a tireless, endless game
of manipulating
self-lying rain
plays out its fame
when death comes
in talk that's plain

'you didn't listen
when warnings came
you had ample time
to retrain
your own brain

instead you set your energy
on someone else's brain
someone else's time
someone else's life

instead of healing yourself
from the pain
you used others
to hide from
the healing grain
all for shame

so away with you
who had no time
to heal self
but plenty time
others to maim

now that's insane!

away, away
to the pit's sandy grain
a redo
of impending rain
a déjà vu of remain
that seems the same
but worse...inflamed
to a replay in game
‒a chance in rename
of a once sought after
fame'

there you go
that's the words
that won't come but came
for the warnings given
you refrained
blamed
call out names
laughs of insane

instead of seeing
from who's name
the warnings came
