(November 17, 2013)—[‘Road’ was written in 2010.] We all travel different paths. Sometimes we sway off the right path and get hurt.
I was watching Tyler Perry today and he talked about the people who are just seasons and the people who are forever. He said that sometimes we get mixed up and make forever with someone who was just supposed to be a season. I guess that’s what happened to me.
A lot of us just get mixed up. We struggle. We go through our darkness. That seems to be when God steps in and says: No, my child, let me give you a hand.We get so used to the season that when He does help us get back to where we are supposed to be going that, at times, the pain is unbearable. We just have to have faith that He knows what He’s doing. I don’t know how, but I’m here in this apartment, with a vehicle and a job.
Rent is due in a couple weeks and I haven’t started the job yet but I think He’s testing me again. Patience and faith, Karen. It’s hard but this road is where I belong. Love the skin you’re in and have faith in Him.
