Chief Among Mountains
He† came
this chief
in a poor-man's wrap
speaking Words of Wisdom
though they didn't see Him†
He† came
God† raised Him† above all
after they forced His† fall
upon Him†
they did not call
as He† beckoned them all
to follow
not live so dull
He† came
all nations didn't stream to Him†‒
instead flocks did
here and there...everywhere
they know His† name
He† came
indeed He† did
He† taught God's† ways
many wars were fought
much blood shed
He† divided the land
as He† said
they still train for war
instead of swords
they have ships and tanks
and guns that pierce the temple
and rape and hate and anger
so many lies were told
leaving His† ways cold
He's† still chief
He's† still high priest
He's† still the head
He's† still the judge of man
He† came
yes, indeed
no matter man's personal game
He† is
all the same
