‘Anthem of Holiness’

Written March 1, 2024: ‘Anthem of Holiness’

Anthem of Holiness

you slacked
in the ways of purity
disregarded your chastity
went forward
in ways of fortification
flirted with thoughts
unbecoming
‒falling to the obituary

so now bereave
set aside iniquity
all thoughts of adultery
continue on in civility
all ways of holy

if lost in adultery‒
one or the other
set them aside
or be set aside
‒that is the Lord†
in commentary

ignorance does not cause sin
‒'knowing' changes eternity
lessens your chance
in divinity

when conversion shows its audacity
wiping away sin's cavity
holy must accept in humility
‒either one: man or woman
each sharing equality
giving the ultimate gift
of God's† true mercy

leave out
all types of animosity
and give amnesty

giving into Wisdom's sensitivity
use understanding as great poetry
full of love and beauty

in Wisdom
one grieves in complexity
remembering their iniquities
wondering their calamities
turning around
in humility
never wanting to turn
back
to iniquity's anxiety

thus turns to acts of good
liberally
without notions of guilty

let the Physician†
show you clarity
let Him† pour on you:
Mercy

remember, remember
there's no
on then off again
on then off again
returning to‒
misplaced acts
of remission
(raging acts of cancer)
living sin in frequency
after the cure‒
brings about
life in difficulty

listening attentively‒
without turning back
brings about:
holy

there's no uncertainty
when knowledge awakens
in ability
its sure variety
gives you velocity
to return to holy
without the lust in vanity

there's no great symphony
to play
open ears and hear
‒here is the remedy
for all the aches
in your tummy

turn in chivalry
grandness in scale
not in imaginary
but in gallantry‒
a warrior who withstood
‒fought the good fight
‒elevating in hereditary
of a great kingdom
worthy
beyond the binary

(March 1, 2024)—The fourth commandment given to Hermas. Then He led me to proverbs dealing with open-mindedness, judicial justice and wealth and poverty.
