  A Beacon

do you hear it–
ring, ring, ring

through the tiniest notion
–every vocation
each unique imagination

one nation
stands for liberation
she's not a simulation
she's reality's verification–
there's ramifications
if tied by dictation

do you hear it–
ring, ring, ring
liberty does sing

no unification of nations
can match her situation
no militant formulation
can undermined her creation

she has limitations
push her motivation–
her wrath's determination
unveils against aggression

do you hear it–
ring, ring, ring
liberty does sing

all look upon her manifestation
for freedom's not suppression
it's an awakening sensation
unmatched by any's validation

she is liberation
the beacon of hope rendition
to all oppression
she is the united states of america–
under God†
she is one nation
to the world's population
she is their mandation–

being free is
God's† given human condition
not under bureaucracy regulation
not under controlled restriction
but through
the self's desire for liberation

do you hear it–
ring, ring, ring

When His Next Best Thing Comes Along!

This one sergeant in my Army days in Germany called me Marie Laveau…lol…another one bites the dust! One of them will be strong enough to handle my energy some day. If they can let go of their pride long enough. I’ve had enough of man-ego-pride to last a life time.

‘Stepping into the Fear’

Forget the Fear. Concentrate On What You Want!

A sample from Book 6

 Stepping into the Fear

what you are is what you think
―an old worn out thing
but living half your life
you come to see
how truly right
these words ring

any day-dreaming thought
even silently in the dark
―closed secret of the heart
given enough time
begins to shape its part

if the pictures seep in your head
while laying in bed
something you dread
or just want to unwed
―be careful
your repeated secret byline
given enough time
will come to you
will come true

it takes years
to make the picture clear
bits and pieces―
many scenarios pass through
your reality won't mock it
your actions won't show it
but in the universe
you did throw it
―over and over
believing it just fantasy
only your mind can see
nothing close to your reality
what does it hurt
losing yourself to its scenes

just a day-dreaming thought
something imagined in the dark
―silently in your heart
where no one has to be fought
something you think
not really sought
given enough time
begins to shape its part

with enough passing days
with enough nights to fade
the fantasy slowly builds
secret thoughts turn real

the universe enjoys enough time
fantasy to reality begins to align
instead of in your head
―hidden secrets fed
soon to become
a life led

deep inside
you try to deny
your eyes continuously cry
this can't be right
you start a war
―feverously fight
an outward dreaded fear
―at first unclear
the day-dreaming thoughts stop
as hands move on a clock
tic-toc, tic-toc
all your eye-seeing reality
becomes your secret fantasy
not exactly the way you saw
―the same is the result

wiping away the tears
now, it's all perfectly clear
what you wanted the most
―the secret you didn't boast
was the one thing
you truly feared
the fantasy
that only the universe
could hear

so it changed your course
―it may feel forced
you yell, scream, cry
over and over asking why
repeat, repeat, repeat
'til you're hoarse

 it leaves you no choice
but to step into your fear
―see your secret thoughts
as the true reality
of your heart

‘A Rose When It Blooms’

A Woman Becomes Awesome After the ‘Hard’!

A sample from Book 6

 A Rose When It Blooms

it's easy to pass it by
if you don't have a good eye
it's easy to deny
―be easily satisfied
by its humble life

it's easy to say goodbye
if you don't understand―
its true vibe
instead of just
its surface shy

it's hard to describe
what comes from deep inside
watching a rose come alive
―shine in the light
spread its wings and divide

it's hard to simplify
its gentle lullaby
―its pure divine
without trying to deprive
its exotic fire
it's hard to amplify
what its many colors
signify
or how it mystifies
emotions and desires
it's hard to transcribe
without trying to terrify
or leaving questions of why
―I'm willing to try

when a rose awakes and divides
emotions thrive
its very beauty signifies
its power from God†
―adding harmony to lives
making a grown man cry
leaving the most vocal soul
tongue-tied

once awoken―
a rose transpires
all of its drive
all of its pride
to its newly created empire
it doesn't try to bribe
with all its energy it dives
overriding its individual side
transforming its tide
refusing to deprive
so that its vibrance can thrive

with its own awakening desires
 it doesn't place a price
or intend to bring strife
it doesn't even think twice
or wonder if it's right
it doesn't need or try to justify
―connive or lie
it just breathes life
―a humbling sacrifice
byway of God's† pure light

yes, it's easy to pass by
if you don't have a good eye
it's easy to deny
the beauty of a rose
―opening and coming alive

Don’t Be Baffled By Today’s Politics!

A sample from Book 10

I don’t see why because they have been telling you how they are for years. I’m not as into the politics today as I was years ago. Things just seem to keep going in the down direction, and there’s way too many people arguing instead of doing.

I know in my own home the argument over politics was huge. Being in a mixed relationship didn’t help matters as all this black/white issues took center stage. I have never been a racist. I’m not privileged. This seemed not to register with my ex-boyfriend. It saddens me on how many people believe this B.S. There are many people who believe they are privileged. I’ve seen them. I’m glad I’m not one of them. What follows is part of the Introduction to my last book on politics, Book 10, in My 12-Book Series.

Recognizing Codependency in Yourself!

A sample from Book 9

Oh! Are you in for a treat! I began talking about codependency in Book 6. I didn’t see the horror in it until 2015…that need to make others happy began to affect me in the worse way. The following is part of the Introduction to Book 9 in My 12-Book series.

To heal…to completely heal from abuse, you have to deal with the codependent in you. It won’t be easy. From this book all the way to Book 12, I fought it. You can do it, too. Trust in the journey and get my books…I do have a different answer than most do.

Don’t Fix What Ain’t Broken!

A sample from Book 4

That was my question as I went through year after year of constantly starting over as a teacher. Yes, there’s things broken with the American education system…but they are constantly trying to fix the wrong things.

The following is from the Introduction to my 4th Book in My 12-Book Series during my denial stage where I focused on everything outside of myself and my home instead of focusing on the important stuff. What I discovered will amaze you! The only thing I could do was write a book about it and offer simple solutions to what the higher-ups makes so complex.

Reading American History In Rhyme!

In order to understand what it means to be an American you have to actually study American history. The following is from the Introduction my 3rd Book in My 12-Book Series. As I stated below, this wasn’t my intention, but we do follow the path that God sets for us.

“How do we confront our past without destroying our own selves in the process? Just like the next person, we want to deny what we’ve done and move on without ever thinking about it again. But do we really come to terms with it? It is the year 2017. I’m sitting in yet another apartment. Apartment 714. It is strange. That number adds up to 12. That number can mean a lot of things like the 12 tribes in the Bible. The 12 months of the year. The 360. The chance to start fresh. A new year’s beginning.

A lot has happened in my life since this book was written. A lot has changed. Then, again, a lot remains the same.

My Focus On Politics

As I Lived In Denial and Isolation!

A sample from Book 2

You go back and review the past 10 years or so. The following is from Book 2 in My 12-Book Series. It was part of my denial stage when American politics took a front seat to what was happening beneath the surface.

“Writing about history, much less history in rhyme, was never my dream but something deep inside redirected my journey.

Throughout history, I’ve realized, poems live on pass the generations who wrote them. It is also our reality that America’s younger generations rather music than reading books. If you listen to their music—not just hear but listen—you’d realize that each verse is in rhyme. Lyrics are poetry. With this in mind, and as a former teacher, writing history in rhyme makes sense.
