A sample from Book 12

(January 4, 2018)—It’s taken me a while to gather my thoughts with this piece. ‘His Softness’ was the very last piece I wrote for 2018.‘His Softness’…the sweet man. I’ve written about him since 2012 when we first met as friends. I wrote about him as my lover. I wrote about him as my enemy. I wrote about him as my best friend. There’s a lot I didn’t write about.

‘Humble of Mercy’

You Want It to Be! So Bad….

A sample from Book 12

(September 26, 2018)—

Praise for Joy and Security of the RighteousKeep me safe, O God, for in You I take refuge. I said to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.’ As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom in all my delight. The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips. Lord, You have assigned me my portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.

I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because You will not abandon me to the grave, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.―Psalm 16

‘Unconditional’ Fades When Another Takes Your Place!

A sample from Book 12

(July 25, 2018 [Didn’t post on Facebook.])—When toxicity takes its toll, there’s nothing to say or do.

A weak heart turns to go, finds a new heart to rip apart. A strong heart cries alone, struggling to regain ground, move on. You don’t lose to cheating. You lose to betrayal. That’s why those who don’t marry, stay single. They can just hang it up, move on to another. The faithful one can’t do this.

‘Knife’

Surviving the Knife of Those Who Betray You!

A sample from Book 12

(April 21, 2018)—That knife becomes weaker when we gain the support of others, when we start to see the true meaning behind our life. That knife doesn’t come out that easy especially when you see everyone’s true disclosure.

There’s so much to say, then there’s nothing to say. I have this much on my mind: If they don’t want to see you, it doesn’t matter what you say or do, they won’t see you.

‘The Bitch of It’

Sometimes You Just Gotta To Be A Bitch!

A sample from Book 12

(April 12, 2018)―Closure. I read a post this week written by a lady who is going through what I went through back in 2012 and 2013 and it struck me how insensitive and selfish some people can be.

When one party in a relationship leaves without explaining…really explaining…what’s the deal, it is called narcissism.I didn’t know this when I was going through it. I didn’t fully understand what was happening to me. All I knew was that I was angry…very angry…and it wouldn’t let up.

”Do Your Thing”

When They’re Paving the Way for Another ‘Thing’!

A sample from Book 12

(March 2, 2018)—E.G. White writes:

In His Sermon on the Mount, Christ taught His disciples precious lessons in regard to the necessity of trusting in God. These lessons were designed to encourage the children of God through all ages, and they have come down to our time full of instructions and comfort. The Saviour pointed His followers to the birds of the air as they warbled their carols of praise, unencumbered with thoughts of care, for ‘they sow not, neither do they reap.’ And yet the great Father provides for their needs. The Saviour asks, ‘Are ye not much better than they?’ Matthew 6:26. The great Provider for man and beast opens His hand and supplies all His creatures. The birds of the air are not beneath His notice. He does not drop the food into their bills, but He makes provision for their needs. They must gather the grains He has scattered for them. They must prepare the material for their little nests. They must feed their young. They go forth singing to their labor, for ‘you heavenly Father feedeth them.’ And ‘are ye not much better than they?’ Are not you, as intelligent, spiritual worshipers, of more value than the birds of the air? Will not the Author of our being, the Preserve of our life, the One who formed us in His own divine image, provide for our necessities if we but trust in Him?

As I mentioned yesterday about what sin is, this points out the avenue if we trust in God and don’t waiver and fall prey in weakness to getting what we want quicker. Makes sense, don’t you think?

‘Ex-foliate My Soul’

You Have to Leave Others Out of ‘Self’!

A sample from Book 12

(April 3, 2018)—(February 26-27, 2018)—I did have the courage. Everything I said was going to happen in my books…have! That’s because the heart and intuition never lies. Never! You just have to have the guts to follow both and not waiver because of nay-sayers who want nothing more than to see you fail.

‘Thank You for the Time’

Let Yourself Learn From the Lessons Given!

A sample from Book 12

(January 14, 2018)—Fortunes. Do you believe in them? I believe in messages. I believe that we receive messages in the spiritual realm byway of the concrete world. An example would be if you’re praying for something and the message comes through a song or a call from someone least expected or something that’s around you that just showed up. It’s not like you pray for something today and bam something shows up. No. It’s something you pray hard for and the message eventually appears…when you least expect it.

‘Suffocation’

Breaking That Anger Cycle!

A sample from Book 12

Anger discharges arousal, but only temporarily. Right after a blowup, people often feel oddly relaxed, like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders. It seems like they can breathe again. Even tough these effects are brief, and tension soon returns, the anger discharge can be highly reinforcing. You get a break from everything that frustrates and overwhelms you.—from The Anger Control Workbook by Dr. Matthew McKay and Dr. Peter Rogers.

But there’s a downside to using anger for stress reduction. The stress comes back with a vengeance. Studies show that anger creates more anger. Blowing up makes it more likely that you’ll blow up again soon. Each time you indulge in anger to cope with stress, the next outburst becomes that much easier and stronger…and harder to control.

Can you relate to the above quote? I can. For me, it has gotten worse over time. As I seen in my personal life, people label you faster than you can blink an eye instead of helping you. Most of us just need help…something that can free us of this suffocation of anger.
